YANKEE LOBSTER/COMMERCIAL LOBSTER
---|---|---|
300 Northern Avenue Adaptive reuse of existing WWII navy facility, including all new plumbing, sub-slab and electrical work to accommodate a major commercial shellfish wholesaler and retailer. Built wholesale storage and production facilities, offices, as well as a new retail facility with kitchen at the front end of this traditionally commercial business. Careful attention to infrastructure was needed to support dozens of thousand pound tanks, sophisticated airflow systems and underground drainage system which pumped in fresh sea water, filtered, and replenished the tanks. Infrastructure and drainage system required significant excavation to tunnel under building. Coordinated complicated approvals process involving multi-governmental agency review. |
